A story of three women, woven in the suburbs of "Tama New Town" in Tokyo, which opened in 1971 as the country's largest-ever residential housing project. As the women delicately explore their pasts and contemplate the nature of memory itself, connections and inspiration emerge in the spaces of their shared community.
Remembering Every Night is the follow-up to Yui Kiyohara's debut feature, Our House. A rising talent within the Japanese independent film scene, her second feature offers a poignant glimpse into everyday life in a suburb of Tokyo, with subtle echoes of Kiyoshi Kurosawa, under whom she studied.
